what's the use of holding on

The Olympics is almost coming to an end. Another long 4 years until the next games at Beijing. These Olympics have been pretty cool. We won a few golds in events which we haven't ever won gold in or haven't won gold for a while.
Today, I went to the Sydney University open day. It was like the first time me and my sister were allowed to go somewhere without my parents. The decision to let us go alone didn’t even need any arguments or persuasion. All it was a comment of “We’re letting you go to the uni alone, but you’re still not allowed out”. I didn’t end up going to any lectures I planned to go to which were political economics, finance, business and commercial law and nutrition and dietics. Instead, I went to the places where you sit with one of the professors or teachers (I don’t know what they were) and talking to them about that subject. I sort of looked and sounded like a dumbass who didn’t know what was going on because most of them kept repeating themselves after I asked a question so I just politely walked away after I thought I sounded really dumb.
After a few hours, we got really bored. I wanted to go to Town Hall to shop and eat but my sister wanted to wait until 1PM to go to the Pharmacy lecture. We walked around bumping into a lot of year 12’s and some of my Julie’s friends. After countless naggings, my sister finally obliged to go. At Town Hall, I went into Nine West to check out their new season shoes. There’s like four styles which look so sexy. Got to drag my mum up there.
Things have been pretty hard on my group lately. Everyone has their own issues and within the group, although we’ve been together for over a year, we hardly know anything about everyone. I agree with Trisha’s blog but then, it’s kind of hard to build up a strong firm friendship with like 8 people simultaneously.
Happy birthday to Angeline on Monday and Andrew Lim on Tuesday.
